This moth drawing is one of my latest designs.

As an artist, I’m always inspired by the beauty of nature and the mysteries of the universe. That’s why I decided to create an illustration that combines these two elements: an orange moth and a crescent moon.

The moth is a creature that has always fascinated me with its delicate wings and intricate patterns. It also symbolizes transformation, as it undergoes a metamorphosis from a caterpillar to a beautiful flying insect. In my illustration, I wanted to capture the grace and elegance of the moth, while also adding a touch of vibrancy with the orange color.

The moon, on the other hand, represents the cosmic forces that govern our planet and our lives. It’s a symbol of change, as it goes through different phases and influences the tides, the seasons, and our moods. In my illustration, I chose to depict a crescent moon, which is a phase of transition between the full moon and the new moon. It’s a time when things are in flux, when possibilities are open, and when magic can happen.

Together, the orange moth and the moon create a sense of harmony and balance. They represent the dualities of life, such as light and darkness, beauty and imperfection, and growth and decay. They also remind us that everything is connected, and that we are all part of a larger cosmic web.

I spent my summer in a place where moths were in abundance and this, too, was one of the prompts for me to create this artwork. Drew it in my favorite Procreate app with almost no sketch, unlike I usually do. Had a lot of fun with adding the details of the moth’s wings.

As an illustrator, I’m always looking for ways to express my creativity and connect with others. I hope that my orange moth and moon illustration can inspire you to see the world in a new light, to embrace change and transformation, and to find beauty in unexpected places. Whether you choose to wear it on a t-shirt, a hoodie-dress, or a AirPods Pro case, my illustration is a statement of your individuality and your appreciation for art.

I’ve designed some products with this moth drawing. Like these in my Etsy store:
