I love these shiny hammered teardrop elements and I made another copper earrings featuring them. This time I used beautiful translucent moonstone. I love how the earrings dangle and shimmer with every movement! Here they are:

Structure of the earrings
Each has five long heavily hammered copper teardrop elements (hammering is my favorite part). They connect to a copper wire ring which holds the beautiful 6 mm translucent white natural moonstone. You can see its unique light effect – adularescence – in the photo. It is more pronounced in one of the gemstones but it’s the magic of nature – no two are exactly the same. The whole stucture is connected to sterling silver earwires.
Actually, first I made copper earwires, but then decided to make silver ones, because there is rhythm between its whitish color and the moonstones. Also, I oxidized a bit the ear hooks to a bit yellowish silver tones to well with the warm orange-yellow of the copper. Plus, they are hypoallergenic this way. Here is how they looked with the copper earwires:
Lastly, I protected the metal with Renaissance wax which not only protects but also allows the beautiful copper patina to develop slowly and naturally.
