This image depicts an unrealistic astronomical illustration based on a strange dream of mine. I dreamt about the moon that night. I looked at the black sky and the moon was huge. It moved very quickly, in circles. Then I looked around it and I saw the stars moving at the same strange high speed. I looked down. I looked up and in the sky there was nothing anymore – no moon, no stars. It was frightening. When I woke up, I just felt the urge to draw the surreal scene I had imagined in my sleep. Created methane molecules pattern this week. It’s a geek illustration with a hint of environmentalism. Made it because human farts are 7 percent methane and this gas is one of the greenhouse gasses. Cows have a much bigger impact than humans, though – farts, mostly burp – it’s a lot of methane. So it’s just a fun chemistry design. This geek love potion emerged when we doodled with my oldest daughter some time ago. It’s a clean cartoon illustration of a glass flask filled with red bubbling liquid. Heart shaped bubbles flow cheerfully out of the flask. It’s a somehow geeky design related to my love for science, especially chemistry. (I’m a pharmacist by primary education.
