Gothic Mom Design With Evil Bugs

This gothic mom design features a vectorized ink drawing of two evil bugs – mother and her child who go for a walk. The cute kid has a happy grinning balloon. The whole illustration has a vintage look due to the distressed texture I’ve used. These fun characters are from the family of the Evil Flower Bug. You can buy art prints from my Redbubble and Society6 stores.

Robot Mother And Child Illustration

Drew this robot mother and her child some time ago. I love robots, science fiction and everything related to them. So it’s not a surprise that I often draw them. And back then I thought “Machines can have family, too. Why not?”. Drew them, then made a quick vectorization with Inkscape (I was using the app for my vector graphics then and loved it). Added some colors and texture later. See art prints with the robots at my Redbubble and Society6 stores:

Cat Skull Illustration With Evil Eyes

This evil cat skull has two variations – one is purple and the other is in pastel tones. It is a vector illustration depicting a geometric skull of a cat with heart shaped nose hole and evil eyes. Being a cat lover myself, cats are a frequent motif in my art. One variation is darker, textured and the other is even cheerful due to the lightness of the colors. There are a variety of products with this feline skull at my stores. Here are the art prints:

Happy Sun Character Illustration

This happy sun was created a long time ago. Drew it for a card for my husband (then boyfriend) when he had a work trip to Germany. I missed him very much and created this cutie, one of my first digital illustrations. It’s a happy design with warm colors associated with sunshine, summer and all those good warm days. Later I created products with it at my online stores and the first of them was at Zazzle – a kids t-shirt. Made a pattern with the smiling sun, too. You can see products with this design below.

Colorful psychedelic eye Redbubble feature

My colorful psychedelic eye is featured at Redbubble’s Found page! Thanks Redbubble. I drew this vector illustration lead by my obsession with eyes – the weirder, the better. They just seem natural to draw for me. Whenever I start to just scribble, an eye or a leaf/flower appears. And I also love bright colors, trip art… you can tell.

Cute Flame Character Vector Illustration

This cute flame character was drawn for one of the topics of Illustration Friday. I love these warm colors so it was just natural for me to create such a happy little fire in yellow and orange. The transparencies in the flames make this image more lively and cheerful. Later I added art prints to my Redbubble and Society6 stores. Check out some of the products:

Umbrella pattern with rain and clouds – illustration and products

This umbrella pattern features fun colorful umbrellas floating in the sky. Instead of protecting from rain, raindrops are splashing out of them. I drew this image in Procreate for one of Illustration Friday’s topics. The topic was “umbrella”. Thought what would make such an object more interesting. You typically use it to protect yourself in rainy weather. So what if these umbrellas were raining themselves? Would be more fun. So I opened my favorite Procreate app and drew them. Used one of my recent favorite color schemes – blue, white and red. Later made it available as art prints and products at my stores at Society6, Redbubble, Zazzle. See some of them below. Spring leaves and ladybugs illustration

Spring leaves go with ladybugs, of course. I love spring and decided to celebrate its coming this year with a fun image. I had a similar autumn design. Created a new, spring color scheme in different shades of green and red, then freshened it, improved the leaves, changed almost everything except the basic shapes. After I finished the new illustration, I added art prints to Redbubble and Society6. Check out some of the products from my Society6 store: Continue reading Spring leaves and ladybugs illustration

Methane molecule image featured at Redbubble

My molecule image showing sp³ hybridization in methane has been featured in Redbubble’s Found today! Thank you Redbubble. So I thought it was just about time to present it here.

I love chemistry, especially organic chemistry. Drew this methane molecule because methane is the first compound we study in this discipline (my primary education is a pharmacist). And, to be honest, because I love drawing these shapes. Atomic orbitals represent all possible places of the electrons in space. That is what the dots stand for. And I like adding dots everywhere, too. This design is also related to environmental issues, because methane is one of the gases which contribute to the Greenhouse Effect.
